Prime Minister's Youth Development Program

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), under the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Program initiative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, urged public sector universities to establish Youth Development Center on their campus. The Youth Development Center (YDC) shall be a student facilitation centre where student-related services will be offered. The Youth Development Center (YDC) will be a single office with distinct wings providing digital resources for students in various sectors, including education, research, scholarships, internships, and job possibilities for both students and youth.

Youth Development Center was initiated to empower Pakistani youth, which are the most precious asset of Pakistan. The sole aim is to empower young people with skills set, resources and self-reliance opportunities by initiating an excellent youth development program catering to multiple domains.

Youth Development Center is a standardized one-stop shop for university students that provides necessary information, counselling and resources through a single window system. A PC-1 of Rs. 447.466 million was approved by the Government of Pakistan for establishing Prime Minister’s Youth Development Program in 106 public sector Universities.
